Collapsible Lung and Don't Blink are at the top of my list, with Sweeter and Gloria at the bottom. Everything in the middle isn't even ranked.
Can't Complain is an absolute abomination of a song. I stand by this statement: Don't Blink and the title track are the best on the album but still aren't really that great.
They're both better than anything pre-Mmhmm imo. I'd take "Can't Complain" over a lot of that stuff as well honestly. It's a kind of lame song but it's not even that bad.
Yeah, as much as I think most of CL sucked, I'd still take everything on it over all of their debut, and at least half of Anatomy. Two Lefts I like a good bit though. Pink Tux is never not good.
Can't Complain is straight-up one of the worst songs I've ever heard Love Pink Tux though, and most of that album.
Why do you people hate "Can't Complain" so much? haha. Only song on CL I hate is "Gloria" and that's just a gross song.
For me, it's just really lazy and generic. I'd consider the lyrics the worst on the whole album, and musically it's just boring and I feel like I've heard a million other songs just like it. I do think Gloria is worse as a whole though. My album ranking is basically Collapsible Lung > Don't Blink > Disaster > doesn't matter > Can't Complain > Gloria.
Like I dunno if people are just saying they like "Disaster" cause it's not a cowrite but I really don't care for that song at all
Oh, I'm not one of the people who think it's that bad. haha It's not like Brokencyde, Nickelback or that new Say Anything bad or anything like that. I think it's only barely beaten by Gloria as worst on the album though.
I love that song, a lot. I think the horns are great and the vocal melodies are too. Great chorus. I wouldn't put it too far behind the title track and "Don't Blink" honestly.
I like the weird, wacky circus shit going on and how all-over-the-place it is. I totally get not liking it, but I enjoy that it really throws a certain mood at me
Ok those are good reasons. I like the horns as well, but the lyrics and melodies just don't do it for me.
Wow, I have wanted to do this for so long for F&NSD, but didn't want to risk harming the audio quality by using Audacity or another program.
My ex-girlfriend was in love with Collapsible Lung, so I grew to really like most of the tracks, actually. If we were arguing about music, we could at least put that album on and both be content.
It's kind of funny that we're ranking the songs of an RK album few of us really like all that much. 1. Collapsible Lung, 2. Don't Blink, 3. Lost Boy, 4. Boomerang, 5. If I Could Take You Home, 6. When You Were My Baby, 7. Disaster, 8. PTL, 9. Can't Complain, 10. Sweeter, 11. Gloria. Wow. Actually ranking this has shed more light on what a weak album this is. Air For Free, please be incredible.
Yeah, I've spoken with people on AP before about how I really don't think that song is that good. It's fine but I'd take 3, maybe 4 songs on CL over it. It is one of the better songs on Two Lefts though. That's one of those songs though where I'm really confused by people picking at single lines on CL or the new songs as being really bad when there's some lines in there as bad as pretty much anything on CL.
