    Canton Rep:

”We had so much fun playing together,” he said of the recently concluded tour. “It’s been about five years since our last show, and honestly, I wasn’t sure if we would ever get back to this. I think there is a certain sense of gratitude and joy that is present now in our live shows. I think a lot of our fans weren’t sure if we would ever tour again, either, so I think it’s part of the reason for the excitement and overall good vibes.”

Asked how long he thinks Relient K will last, Thiessen didn’t flinch: “Matt and I always said the band will always exist as long as we’re having fun.”

I was hoping to hear about a new album timeline :(. I will remain cautiously optimistic that there is hope for another and it sounds like the other guys could be involved which I think was sorely needed with the last 2 efforts.

I don’t understand why their output has fallen off so much. They put out so much music in the first decade of the 2000s.

Outside of Collapsible Lung which has some good tracks, I’m not sure what y’all are complaining about.

Air For Free and Forget… are so good.

Forget and Not Slow Down was nearly 13 years ago??? I rarely get surprised by "Where has the time gone?" moments, but I wouldn't have guessed it came out that long ago. Great album.

Forget and not slow down is chef's kiss. I can only hope that they could match an effort that good again :)

Agreed, I was referring to the time between releases. It’s fairly well discussed in the article, but Matt used to be a machine at cranking out quality music.
