ehhhh you don't have to be musically inclined to notice the chords are a little different from stuff you usually hear right???
Yeah, but just with the "Marigold" intro. It feels like the song could use one though. He did like it. He's listening again now and he really likes the title track. I'm on that one again now and it is super duper.
Mountaintop I seiously come to every track and understand why it's titled the way it is. I've never experience an album with track names that perfectly hit the vibe of the music.
I think the only rough parts for me on here are Bummin', the chants on Hippo and the lyrics on Prodigal and none of that is too serious. There's no "Gloria" on here.
why don't you like Bummin? I've been really into that one, reminds me of Third Eye Blind for some reason...?
It's ok, I don't really dislike it but it's definitely my least favourite. The guitar intro is kind of weak compared to all the wonderful piano intros on here and I really don't like the melody of "you can have my life, I'm sad". I don't think I'd be as hard on it if it weren't the opener.
Empty House That piano overwhelms any negative thoughts I could have toward the autotune. Matt is hitting the autotune like a pro. Like he messed with multiple vocal take me to have his voice catch at all the right points and reach the perfect rise and spike in pitch.
have you tried listening to it in the order the vinyl is set in? Starts with Local Construction which seems like a way better song to start on
