Seriously, kind of surreal this is coming out in a week. I have such a good feeling about this record. Relient K, please don't disappoint.

 

I'm not in love with either of the two songs they've released, but I like the direction they've gone, and those clips gave me hope that it'll be good. We will find out soon!

"Bummin'" is still fine. I immediately like "Local Construction" a lot more.

 

I still like pretty much everything about "Mrs. Hippopotamuses'" other than the awful chanting that honestly almost ruins the song for me.

 

"Cat" is solid.

 

"Man" is great, that and "Local Construction" are easily my favourites of the first five.

 

Love the vibe in "Air for Free".

 

I looove "God".

 

Cat reminds me of Lydia's album "Devil". Air for Free is an interesting song. This album definitely Italy didn't abandon pop like I'm sure a lot of people wanted it to.

 

I feel like this could fit on FANSD comfortably.

 

God just started for me, definitely like it a lot.

 

"Elephant Parade" is kind of like "Disaster" on steroids, haha.

 

Kind of reminds me of something on Pretty. Odd. in the chorus.

 

Yeah, your descriptions of Elephant Parade is perfect. This bridge is pretty cool too. love how piano heavy this album is.

 

"Mountaintop" is what a laid back pop song by Relient K should be.

 

Really into the intro for "Sleepin'".

 

The rest of the song was great too. Really nice chill vibe. The people who wanted them to go back to pop punk/pop rock didn't get what they were hoping for, haha. I'm loving it though.

 

Sleepin' is a cool ukulele jam. I really like this. Ukulele was my first instrument so I have a little personal attachment to it.
