I know it was the first single, but I just didn't know "Illuminator" was all that popular for some reason. I don't feel like I see it mentioned all that much.

"HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIDE I'M ON?" is one of my favorite Underoath lyrics. It's so Underoath-y.

 

Illuminator has always sounded like a leftover from Lost in the Sound of Separation to me. It’s a good song but it’s never done much for me.

 

I think I posted this in the erase me thread, but one of my fondest underoath memories was when they did the roll-out for Illuminator by releasing one part of the track each day (drums, then guitars, then vocals, etc.) My dorm had prehistorically slow internet so it took like 90 minutes to download it every day, and my friends and I would sit and wait until ultimately being disappointed when the first piece revealed was Chris’, which was basically nothing.
