The Only Survivor Was Miraculously Unharmed Heard this album today at work. I was doing a tedious task, but this made it a little better.
Would both of these songs not be considered “deep cuts” on this album? Pretty cool that this bracket turned out this way.
Wikipedia is just saying Too Bright was. Not that Wikipedia is end all be all but I'm not seeing anything about Survivor
Wikipedia is saying that Too Bright was the second album single in april 2009. I definitely remember Survivor being released before the full album came out, a bit after Desperate Times.
Pre-Spotify/streaming bands would put out songs (often on a publication website) for streaming before the album release that weren’t necessarily ‘singles’. Just “hey here’s another new song from the album” to drum up hype. Nowadays everything that comes before is considered a single.
We’re about half an hour shy of the 24 hour mark, but this is pretty well decided and there haven’t been any votes in several hours. Driftwood (Yea this seems like a weird choice at first but then I thought about it and Driftwood is actually REALLY good. Guardians, while still good, was always on the lower end of songs on the album for me) A Divine Eradication In Division (Paper Lung going out this early is crazy but In Division is that good. I'm gonna wanna keep saying it through this whole bracket so I'll get it started now, the "MY MIND IS STARTING TO TURN ON ME" part is one of my favorite Spencer moments on their whole discography)
Yep about what I was expecting for Driftwood. Honestly that's fine, I was doubting myself on that choice too at first so I can't blame others.
Current Totals: Driftwood - 1 Who Will Guard The Guardians - 7 A Divine Eradication - 8 Reversal - 0 Paper Lung - 3 In Division - 5
