i would have been a lawyer

I love this movie, but I feel that Atomic Blonde was much better. That said, Jennifer Lawrence's acting was commendable - she basically held the whole movie on her shoulders. Violence, sexual or not, is part of being a spy and I thought this was 'well explained', as with Atomic Blonde. I would love to see more female fronted spy movies being made in future.

Even though the film is about how the state exploits and takes from women, and even though I found the ending a cathartic release of vengeance, I did not particularly enjoy watching Lawrence be brutalized, sexually assaulted, and tortured.

Still, there was clever filmmaking going on. The opening sequence was really well done. It was worth seeing. Also, David Ehrlich is great.
