Red Sparrow (Francis Lawrence, March 2,2018) Movie

Probably the first JLaw project I've been interested in in a long long time.

Trailer is one of my favorites right now, can’t wait for this.

 

Yeah I'm starting to get a little excited for this.

 

i’m usually hit or miss on trusting david’s reviews but that is interesting

 

looks dope to me. will definitely be MoviePassing this one.

 

David Ehrlich and I definitely saw different movies. I enjoyed Lawrence in this, but otherwise not interested in most things here. I'm not mad at it, it exists

 

This was... fine. It felt it’s length. I dunno. It didn’t evoke much of a reaction from me.

 

I really hate the pretentiousness in the “I loved it and audiences will hate it” proclamations.

 

Will probably check this out but I really wish it wasn’t so long. I can foresee my boredom

 

I feel like they could have a good bit out of certain parts/characters.

Also, the best part of the movie is when the mole explicitly says "I am the mole." Shows what kind of level this movie was working on.

 

I had to unfollow him on Letterbox’d.

 

Haha for real.

 

I was looking forward to this, and will still see it because of MoviePass, but maybe I should give Death Wish priority.

 

Judging by the reviews for Death Wish, neither is worth your time.

 

MoviePass allows me to see this and not feel ripped off for a movie like this haha

 

I enjoyed this. I also have no desire to ever watch it again.

 

In one of the areas where I can’t MoviePass this.

 

I liked Jennifer Lawrence and Joel Edgerton in this ,and Mary Louise Parker in her brief scene was great
I couldn't help but think of Jennifer Lawrence being a ballerina and I can't imagine that with her personality, also it was distracting that she had Taylor Swift's haircut
as much I liked her in this and mother! it's concerning to me that Jen seems to think that to being taken as an actress she seems to think she has to put herself through the wringer
I'm not sure how I feel about the use of violence, especially against women and sexual violence against women in this, it was hard to watch

 

It's not very well done, but I still enjoyed the heck out of this. They don't make movies like this anymore. Jennifer Lawrence's performance was good enough to make up for everything else.
