I heard a new RHCP song today, and thought 'It sounds like them, kinda... must be new'.

I dont know for sure if I liked it. Gotta listen again.

    Best show I saw though:

$20 for Pearl Jam (Ten), Smashing Pumpkins (Gish), and RHCP (Blood Sugar...)

    Awesome.

    I loved Raindance Maggie.

My first RHCP album and I remember being so disappointed by the fact that the whole album doesn't sound like the singles. I've definitely come around to it though. By the Way is still probably my favorite, but I do agree that it is overlong.

I think I lost touch with them once BSSM came out.... that was it - growing up then, and lost track of a lot.... a few songs here/there... but that was it.

I've always liked their singles but I've never actually listened to any of their full albums before. Maybe I'll try to go through them leading up to the release of this album

By the Way is so great. "Universally Speaking," "Dosed," "Don't Forget Me," and "Tear" are probably all in my top 10 Chili Peppers tracks.

For a while, Californication was my favorite album ever. I listened to that all throughout high school and then By The Way came out over the summer after I graduated. Guess there will always be this nostalgic attachment to their music for me.

similar for me, they were the first band I got into

  11. I never got into this band. I even disliked the majority of the singles. But I'm willing to give an album a shot. Sounds like By The Way should be my first.

Their last album had some pretty great tracks on it.

    I'm not brave Prestigious

RHCP cancelled their KROQ Weenie Roast headlining slot in Irvine at the last minute because Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized... hoping he makes a quick recovery!

  16. I heard this on the radio yesterday and it was stuck in my head for hours afterwards. It's catchier than I first remember.

Haven't listened to the new track from today, but I'm not going back to the first two very much. Still gonna give the album a listen but not feeling anything thus far.

I'm only as interested in listening to this as the band sounds like they are in playing it.

The album is out there btw.

I expected way more from a band such as RHCP.. this feels bland

bland is not good. Im kinda worried.

As an aside, truth be told - I lost touch with them a time ago, and didnt realize John Frusciante had left - Josh looks YOUNG to be playing with them for so long! He looks 21 now!
