Hoping to really put in some time over the weekend. I need to beat this before Smash Bros comes out or I'm screwed. Probably won't touch online.

 

Chapter 6 has begun



Chapter 5 was fucking crazy. Wild ending. She knew the rules tho

 

Everything going down in 5 feels like a point of no return back to the peaceful moments of going hunting for pelts at my leisure

 

After seeing that RDO has all the same problems as GTAO I really have no interest in touching it. It seems most items are out of reach unless you treat grinding like a 9-5 job.

 

This is exactly where I am at as well. On one hand I really want to experience everything there is and finish every possible side mission, but on the other hand, given what is going on in the main mission, it just feels wrong to just go fishing or anything the like.

 

saw the screen for chapter 6 last night and put it down, I'm not ready. echo everyone else's thoughts on living a 'normal' life.

 

So it sounds like the game doesn't get like, bad after chapter 3, just different? It's sad to see people missing the early game freedom in this thread, makes me either not want to progress at all in Ch 4 or just speed through the rest of the story to see what it allows me to do post game.

 

I've seen just as many people saying to do stuff before chapter 5 as I have people saying to just do stuff post-game. I think I'm going to move forward with the story now.

 

honestly I prefer doing story stuff to open world side stuff in rockstar games

 

I've done a lot, found all of the strangers and have almost completed their quest lines. that's probably been one of my favorite things to do to be honest. I really still want to find these mysterious cabins and the rest of the legendary animals. I looked for the moose or elk or whatever it was for an hour last night and couldn't find it but got the wolf almost immediately.

 

i actually switched plans around so tonight i'll be able hopefully to get a solid 3-4 hours in! otherwise im not sure when ill be able to dive back in again. haha

 

I’d normally be kind of bummed about having no plans on a Friday but I’m excited to finally put some time into hunting to expand my satchel.

 

Just came across the KKK cross burning meeting. Before I could open fire one of them accidentally lit themselves on fire so I fired upon as many fleeing ones as I could. Wish I had dynamite on me

 

i seriously always forget about the dynamite aspect of the game. usually because im trying to shoot everyone in the head.

 

i just discovered tomahawks

 

I finished the whole story and every stranger mission and didn't fast travel a single time and I somehow never came across any of the KKK stuff

 

So I just followed a trail of blood and guts to something rather disturbing

 

There are a couple more of those! I won’t spoil anything but it’s worth looking for the rest.

 

Yea just found a portion of a map shoved down the decapitated man’s mouth

 

It's a testament to how amazing the world and exploration is that I never fast traveled. RDR2 and The Witcher III are the only games that have done that for me. But yeah, I never stumbled across their rally.

 

Is that stuff Jake G posted the serial killer quest? I never found it, and my friend said it’s right by the first camp lol

 

Yeah! Haha I missed it at first too. I found a dismembered leg and thought “huh poor bastard” and then went about my business until coming across another one of the bodies.

 

Yeah online sucks. I'll maybe return once I've completed single player 100%.

 

I found a Viking helmet!

 

I go into Saint Denis for some hair tonic... come out with a $300 bounty on my head.
