I think you still get the fur and all that anyways. Same thing happened to me but with the legendary moose. Some people said they were able to lasso the animals out of the water but nothing I tried worked.

 

After a little while you do get the fur, I did the same exact thing with that bloody Bison

where do you get it? does it show up somewhere or is it just in your satchel or whatever?

 

A notification popped up in the top corner after about a day (in game time) for me and it said that your legendary items are with the Trapper or Fence (depending on the item I guess).

Basically if you lose your skined items or this case non skinned items on a legendary kill it goes to the trapper/fence. They keep that stuff until you have all the items to craft whatever clothes/equipment it goes towards.

 

Just lost my first horse and I’m gutted. The new horse isn’t my boy :(

I bought a new horse. Whilst I’m still in mourning for Bombay Bad Boy, I feel that Air Max 1 is going to be a good boah

 

Honestly I kept the horse you steal from the first bounty guy, the Hungarian halfbreed. I renamed her Betsy

 

I’ve got a white marble color Nokota that’s my good girl and while it’s tempting to entertain fantasies of upgrading to a horse with amazing stats, I’ve invested so much time with her that I can’t possibly let her go.

I don't ever want this game to end, best game I've played in years. Still on chapter 2, but I have a feeling there are not much missions left here, I'm gonna spend some time hunting legendary animals

 

Does anyone know how to use those treasure maps? Do you really have to keep those drawings in the back of your head in hope of randomly coming across the right location?

Well, they're in your satchel too, so you don't have to literally keep it in the back of your mind ;)

 

I've came across a man who was bitten by a snake and sucked the venom out, this morning I've met him again and he was bitten again, did the exact same thing, the man was so happy and he told me I've saved his life twice, man, the details in this game are unbelievable

 

I helped a guy who got bitten and later in Valentine he let me buy a gun on his tab

 

I did that too but didn’t think to buy a gun! Just bought the most expensive piece of meat

 

I had someone else that I saved do the same thing but with buying something at a general store, so I bought a fancy new suit.

 

I had over 500 bucks from missions but then I tried robbing the doctor in valentine after getting tipped off by tilly, well all I found in the back room was hair tonic and I racked up like a 200 dollar bounty I had to go pay off

 

Also I know I’m not even done with this game yet but I seriously cannot even imagine what Rockstar has in store for the next GTA game.
