found all the serial killer map parts without cheating!

then cheated and asked my gf the final location because i knew 100% i'd been there but couldn't fuckin remember where it was and then it turned out i'd tried to blow up the door with dynamite I KNEW I'D BEEN THERE DAMMIT

 

So... on impulse I ended up buying an XBox One just to play this game yesterday. So far I’m happy with my decision.

 

My biggest rant right now about this game... I can't sell or get rid of weapons I don't want. Too many weapons to cycle through.

 

I haven’t been able to play as much as I’d like but I am absolutely loving this

 

What are you supposed to do with these? I saw one guy strung up under a bridge with some writing on the rocks nearby, but it seemed I couldn't interact with anything.

 

look for the corpse's severed head nearby, it has a note in it. dont think this is spoilers

 

Highly recommend hogtying people and throwing them next to an alligator. It's become my go-to method of dealing with witnesses lately.

 

I threw one on top of a camp fire. They burn, in case you were wondering.

 

Somehow I rode headfirst into a wooden post with my horse and it knocked him out. I was in the middle of nowhere and had no way of reviving to I had to put him out of his misery... that was fucking depressing.

 

Aberdeen Pig Farm? What a great place to stay. Hospitality was 5 out of 5 stars

 

Tried to jump off a train and went full Hereditary into a pole

 

I jumped off a train, and without even trying, landed directly on my horse who was running alongside the train.(like a good boy). Arthur groaned about hurting his nuts for a moment, but it was AWESOME.

 

After experiencing the hardships of living in the wild north, going to Saint Denis makes me want to eat the rich.

 

On Ch3 and have been loving the game. As much as I love riding around, it's nice to have fast travel now.

 

The one thing I wish they could go anachronistic on is allowing your horse to have its own stereo so at least you're listening to music or amusing talk radio like it the GTA games while riding around the vast region.

yeah the soundtrack rules but i hate how its only used in missions and setpieces. I want to listen to something other than my horse snorting and shitting while i'm out in the world

 

I believe it plays when you go into cinematic mode? Whenever I'm riding between missions I throw on cinematic mode and music plays for me

Yah, I tried that. I’ve done it in the past with other not-so-kid friendly games, and it’s usually worked out ok.

I’ll set the scene for you. My 5 yo was sitting next to me, with my 3 yo hanging off my back. They loved it when I interacted with the horses, I had them try their hand at fishing, all was well.

Then I decided to do a bit of bow hunting. Came upon the legendary grizzly. It noticed me, started to growl a bit, and turned my way. My youngest got a bit nervous, clamped her hands around my eyes just as I had brought up the bow and pulled back the arrow. In the span of 2 seconds, all hell broke loose, my arrow missed, and I regained function of my eyes just as the bear was mauling my character a la The Revenant.

I’ve never heard my daughter scream like that. It was the deepest, most guttural sound she’s ever made.

Quickly pausing the game, I had a long talk about how none of this is real, it was just a game, I’msosorrypleasedon’ttellyourmom, etc....

Needless to say, RDR is now relegated to post-bedtime only.

 

She’s not wrong tho lol. I started to just keep my horse on autopilot while I did other things after a while. Fast travel is nice but it’s too bad it’s only one way.

 

how do you autopilot?? i know you can turn on cinematic mode but i thought you had to keep holding 'A'

 

While in cinematic mode, if you hold A for a few seconds you can release it and your horse will continue at that speed. It should work as long as you have a waypoint set.
