Found a group of KKK members in a circle in some wood, a single stick of dynamite in the middle of them soon sorted that trash heap out.

 

i tried getting the white horse up north. it bucked me off twice and ran away. now i cannot find it.

 

I really love the camp in Chapter 3 by the lake, like I legit would want to live there if I lived in this time period lol

 

I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not but I was riding my horse at night and I came across a floating lantern in the middle of the path I was on. My horse lost its shit and wouldn't ride past it! Was this a ghost or a glitch?!

 

I just want to point out the ridiculousness of the fact I can't name one of my horses THUNDERBASTARD because of "profanities". In an 18 rated game. What the hell. I even tried to use "b'stard" but it still didn't allow it.

Called it Dave in the end.

 

Hearing your stories makes me feel like I'm missing stuff. I'm doing all the missions, helping people as I go along, etc. But haven't seen half the stuff you guys mentioned. Also, hunting is not fun.

What should I be doing instead? In between missions, travelling between towns I see people call for help, and I go and do that. I see a lot of white areas with "?" on it, I do that as well.

How do you hunt better? Everything I've gotten is poor, which I don't think amounts to anything. Also, when I hunt, I toss it on my horse, take it to camp and trade it in to the butcher. Should I be doing something else?

 

I think I'm going to stay in chapter 2 for much longer. I really don't want to finish the story lol.

 

I'm the same. I know there's at least 3 more chapters and 2 epilogues, but I don't wanna do it too fast!

 

I am surprised how much I love hunting in this game.

 

I'm trying to take my time but i still worry about missing things. Maybe after I beat I'll make another save and get to chapter 3 just to sit at that lake for eternity

someone share tips on catching a wild horse. I can't hammer the "calm" button hard enough. Things always run away form me.

 

Get a rifle with a scope and high velocity ammo ! Headshots with that = perfect pelts

 

Hunting: go to the trapper and buy scent cover. Use eagle eye to track the animal down. Hover your site on the animal to study it and find out what type of weapon/ammo you need to use in order to get a perfect pelt. Sell back the pelts to the trapper and donate the meat and antlers to Pearson.

Horse breaking: you can only calm it down so much... just enough to get close and jump on. After you’re on the horse you have to hold one of the sticks down and maintain your balance for a couple seconds while the horse bucks.

 

At first, I thought this was a response to @jorbjorb question about horse lol.

When you focus in on an animal with your binoculars, you have the option to view info. There it will tell you what weapon you need to use to get a perfect pelt. You also need to make sure that there is 3 stars beside the animals name for it to be perfect. If you don't use the right weapon, or use more than one shot to take it down, your pelt won't be perfect.

 

i still have mostly hunted by just chasing after animals that run by me and lassoing them

 

dumb question, how do you get the binoculars to work? i can take them out of inventory and hold them but then no buttons i pressed actually made me look through them

 

Should be the aim button? L2 for PS4, LT for XBOX (you have to hold it down)
