I think R1/RB and down on the left stick is stop. I unlocked skid and drift last night but I don’t think that really helps..

 

just jump off the horse at the highest velocity and hope for the best

i get confused with having to draw your gun first (right trigger) and then you can aim (left trigger). i've definitely shot some people instead of focusing or died because i was focusing instead of drawing/aiming

 

The controls are a little wonky but I can't judge if they're bad or if I'm just not used to them yet

 

Xbox controls here: When you're riding in a pack of men you hold A to match speed right? Something came up on my screen on how to move to the front of the pack or to the back but I couldn't read it that fast. Anyone know how to do this?

 

I believe it's double tap A and continue to hold it.

This game is two discs? Just got home from the store and there are two discs in the case.

 

One might be multiplayer. I haven’t bought a disc in a LONG time.

 

Looks just like the other disc but the second one says, “insert disc 2 second”, which I’m assuming is this one because it was behind the other disc and that one is downloading fine.

I also have the redemption code for the war horse and survival kit which I thought I read was only for the collectors edition.

 

Sweet Christ this thing is 90GB?! Gonna be installing until Friday. Might as well read through the guide in the meantime lol

 

So, something I just learned. During a quest when you’re riding to the objective with whoever, switch to cinematic mode and hold down A/X depending on console, and the horse will just follow along on auto-pilot without crashing. It also works when just freely roaming around.

Ooh lmao hasn’t happened to me yet but I’ll keep doing it until it does. I’ve definitely run into another horse head-on either way haha.

 

How much should you be donating to your camp? Does it matter if you don't donate anything?

Unless you mind people nagging at you, it’s no big deal, mainly depends on how much you care about unlocking fast travel

 

There are some missions that are legit terrifying

In dishonorable news, killing an entire town is quite the task, but it can be accomplished. What a crazy shootout

 

Think I’m just gonna spend a few days fishing and capturing outlaws before diving into any other type of missions. Need to get a better feel for the controls and remember what does what before trying anything substantial.

 

Just got to the first campsite last night, really excited to get out exploring the world properly now.

Still a bit confused by the core mechanics. When I was doing the deer hunting mission in the snow the bow kept wiping out my stamina so I had a red core and nothing I was eating was restoring it. Probably something obvious I'm missing, but having no stamina made the bow really tricky to aim with.
