I try with every Nascimento and it never hits as hard as I want it to. Like I like most of them but they very rarely resonate particularly hard. Will go back to that one at some point
it's ambient vibes so I'm never expecting anything impactful, moreso something pleasant. this one soothes me if I'm looking for hard-hitting Nascimento, I turn to Milton
"hard" is the wrong word in this sense, but certain ambient (oriented, at least) stuff can definitely resonate more than others to me. pleasant is fine but I guess I'm looking for more pathos than I get from him. Eno & Budd and Tim Hecker and the Elori Saxl & Henry Soloman record from this year all do that for me in a way that he doesn't
I enjoy the breeziness, the playful bossa and samba flourishes this one has which makes it stand out from typical ambient fare IMO. I actually prefer this one from this year
