Almost a decade since this album came out. Almost certainly posted this one before but this song never fails to soothe my soul
I've only recently started to explore his stuff. I find a lot of jazz via the drummers, and I came across his drummer Dannie Richmond (a great player) a while ago, which gave me a good reason to finally dive into Mingus. That song is particularly fantastic. I'm interested in his autobiography but apparently it contains a hefty amount of detailed sexual bragging.
