Listen to PUP's new album The Dream Is Over as soon as you can. And if you haven't already, check out their S/T first album! RIYL: Sing-Along Punk songs that rip
Don't know how to explain this band other than they sound like if Said The Whale were heavily influenced by Brand New & Manchester Orchestra! Just wait for the part right after the Jesus lines. Raspy vocals with NGHBRS/EOTC vibes just check it out!
There's a dope album I just picked up. From a band called Nirvana....(pronounced NUR-VAH-NAH). Little album called Nevermind. These guys are gonna be huge.
How have I not heard of this band?? Just listened through the album that song is on for the first time and I haven't been that floored about hearing a band I've never heard of since The Hotelier's Home Like No Place Is There. Definitely hit me right in the gut with my recent departure from Christianity. Do you know the official tracklist? Apple Music has 17 tracks but I've seen it listed differently elsewhere.
I like to describe this band as an emo, math-rock tinged, Yellowcard. The whole album is great but I feel this song encompass how the album sounds as a first taste.
Glad someone else finally acknowledged their greatness. I have 3 LPs and 1 EP from this band. This album 'We Are All Where We Belong' which is their sophomore effort (and their best IMO) has 15 tracks on the one I have. PM me if you want their other stuff. Really don't have a bad song in their discography. Actually discovered this band on a AP.net Free Music Friday.
Yeah I plan on getting all their stuff on Apple Music, I guess the last two tracks are bonus tracks. But really, I'm surprised this band isn't huge on this website. Thanks again for the rec! I'm thinking I just found a new favorite band
still finding they have lots of great lyrics. but man this song been stuck in my head this week. the other song thats sold me on them..
Father's House, by Old Notes Side project by one of the guys who was, but is no longer in Verdoux, one of the bands on my label. Really digging it.
Also going to cross-post this from the self-promo thread. I'm working with Judcody Limon (of New Manners) on his solo project. New single "Colorado" is out now:
I'm in desperate need of new music guys. Any recs welcome. Something in the vein of Panic!, FOB, or Marianas Trench. I feel like I've exhausted the theatrical pop punk world.
I love bands that combine the following genres: indie rock, alternative rock and post-hardcore. My 3 favorite genres. Any recs are welcomed. Edit: Other genres that I also like are post-rock, emo and shoegaze.
Grandview, and their record 'Everything Between Paint and a Wall'. I posted a song a few posts above. I've been digging these guys so much lately.
I'm really hoping for a Cory Call solo album someday. I typically tend to gravitate to the stuff he writes.
