I was a bit let down on first listen but I'll keep trying

Yeah that's the one that stood out early for me too...could easily be twice as long.

Don't think it's a classic Tortoise album but some good turns for the approaching winter darkness.

I see them live in a week and a half so I'm intrigued to see which ones stand out in that context.
