    hmmm

This new No Joy song starts with an almost motorik sense of forward momentum, then starts to leave the ground and float off ever higher until it's completely obscured in the clouds. Love it.

absolutely incredible pair of classic albums from this 70's Croatian and Yugoslav artist. funky, soulful, avant-pop that ranges quite a bit in sound.

French "new romantic/cold wave" duo from '81. extremely ahead of its time, obviously a huge influence on Stereolab

this one is also interesting, by a deaf French harpist and songwriter. album is from 3 years ago but could've come out in the 70s. a jazzy psych-folk mixed with electronics kind of sound.
