This is SO DAMNED GOOD. I listened to the new single and their 2018 EP and I'm hooked. What else you got? Lol
Night Drive dropped a new song today. "Fueled by the allure of science fiction’s vast cinematic universes, Night Drive’s latest synthpop masterpiece Summerwaves navigates the obscure alleyways of abstract emotion, draped in articulate lyrics, propelled by throbbing dance rhythms that unveil a chic, vibrant sound."- Post-punk.com Summerwaves, by Night Drive
I wish I had more like CatCo but unfortunately I do not. As much as people compare them to stuff like DGD, to me they have their own balance of elements that's just so right. Anberlin's new single hits hard and was great, so if you haven't spun it maybe give that a look.
Stumbled on a really interesting indie band called Artist Running Club, this song “Bloomfield” is one of the more interesting tunes I’ve heard in awhile, I can’t quite nail the vibe but I get almost a Days Away/As Tall As Lions sound with some Steely Dan sprinkles
my friends' band Meridia put out their debut single 'The Ol' Razzle Dazzle', its a mix of Paramore crossed with FYS/ADTR , check it out!
Can't recommend this band/release enough. Eat Defeat's Go Outside EP. FFO: Early Blink-182, Direct Hit!, and the Wonder Years And they were just announced as one of four signings to the new Bad Time Records sub-label focusing on non-ska bands. Hah.
Dead Bundy dropped their second album this summer, and its for fans of fun pop punk with a blend of comedy, they remind me of old sum 41/blink mixed with some pop elements thrown in, they are a 3 piece act out of Ohio. they make fun videos, these are off their new album the new album is called Held Back and its out now on InVogue Records. cds and merch available here https://www.invoguerecords.com/collections/dead-bundy
This might be a long shot, but… I haven’t stopped listening to the soundtrack of the musical episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds since it aired. Are there any other science fiction musicals with good songs?
Descartes a Kant is a group from Guadalajara, Mexico that fuses an eclectic palette of musical influences with disciplines such as theater, dance and cinema. A balanced mix between composition and performance, made from a narrative language that the group has managed to consolidate throughout its trajectory. Currently formed by Sandrushka Petrova, Ana Cristina Moreno, Memo Ibarra and Leonardo Padua, Descartes a Kant is characterized by fusing different musical styles and by its performative presentations. To quote a Wall Street Journal critic: "To try to define their music is to do them an injustice. It's loud, challenging, incredibly imaginative, sophisticated, fun and wild. It sounds like music composed by Albert Ayler, performed by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and conducted by Frank Zappa." stream: Descartes A Kant - After Destruction (single) (orcd.co)
