Agreed! JEW is my favorite band behind Brand New, so it's always a pleasure putting them on. I've been on a Clarity and Chase This Light kick the past two weeks, so Damage was really refreshing to hear.
All great albums. I think of Damage as a spring/summer album when it comes to JEW. I tend to listen to clarity/chase this light/futures when its -30degC here during the winter time.
Tackled some mewithoutYou on my way to college today as they're a band that I know a bit of everything of, but I can't remember whole albums due to me trying to listen to everything at once. Really love Brother, Sister. Gonna tackle Ten Stories next as my friend is also getting into mwY since we both liked Pale Horses, and he said he enjoyed Ten Stories a lot. I heard it once before, and from what little I remember, I dug it. Also, an update on the O'Brother album listening: I really dug it. I had "Deconstruct" stuck in my head for the entirety of yesterday.
I've been listening to a lot of Thrice lately to prepare for the new record. Beggars is still great, as well as TAI and Vheissu. I need to revisit TAITA soon since it's been at least a year and I should probably give M/M a spin, since I never got around to doing that.
Into the new O'Brother album. Makes me want to listen to Thrice, but I dig their sound. Second to last song on the record stuck with me the most. Also enjoy the new Cobalt record.
I'm finally getting around to the new Summer Set album, Stories for Monday. It's somewhat of a combination of the last two, but not achieved completely successfully IMO. Probably their weakest release yet, but still has some pretty enjoyable songs.
I've been listening to a lot of Pendulum lately. I really wish they would announce a full U.S. tour. That 30 minute Ultra set isn't enough.
The Falcon: Gather Up The Chaps and the Lippies. I cant wait to see them next week with Worriers (who put out a great album last year). Ship Thieves: No Anchor Face To Face: Protection
Wet's record Don't You is holding up well after multiple listens and Panic! at the Disco's Death of a Bachelor might be my favorite pop record to come up thus far. I've kind of cooled on Lucius' Good Grief.
Scritti Politti- Cupid & Psyche 85... Anyone else get a distinct "Ghostbusters Theme" vibe from "Perfect Way"?
I saw The Sidekicks last week without ever really checking them out. They were incredible, and I've really been enjoying Runners in the Free World. I'm glad spring time is finally here - I'd been listening to so much Turnover and Julien Baker, and was really sad all the time.
I listened to Fall Out Boy's Evening Out With Your Girlfriend today. Still a pretty good album, reminded me why I love Fall Out Boy despite thinking I should have outgrown them by now. Fall Out Boy is the band that got me interested in seeking out new music online, which eventually brought me to absolutepunk.net, so they'll always mean something to me.
Massive Attack - Ritual Spirit EP So pleasantly surprised to hear Tricky back on a Massive Attack release.
