Three weeks later and people can’t stop talking about it. Everywhere you go, it’s nonstop conversations about “Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver.”
This having a directors cut is still one of the dumbest marketing moves I’ve heard of. Execs need to stop thinking the general public acts the same as the terminally online.
I'm surprised the director's cut is also split into two movies and not the single long movie he apparently pitched in the first place.
I gotta watch them so I’m not left out of the conversations everyone will be having about these for generations to come.
I tried to watch these when they first came out and I couldn't even make it thru the first one. I watched the first one of these director's cuts and enjoyed it. Snyder definitely has the sensibilities of a middle school boy, and Netflix should have just allowed him to make these Rated R in the first place and skip all of this nonsense. The version they released first felt extremely neutered and was clearly something conceptualized, written & filmed to be more adult but then edited down to PG-13, which always sucks, but the violence in this new version doesn't feel all that natural either and I kept getting pulled out by how gratuitous & silly it was. Still better than the first version though. First version was dumb and a slog, but this one was dumb fun.
