That creepy loser Max Landis said, in the lead-up to Bright (a movie that I hate being reminded of), that he thought it could be his Star Wars. A franchise that he could keep building off of. Certainly didn’t turn out! Ehrlich seems to be saying Rebel Moon is a similarly misguided franchise-starter, which. Idk. Maybe that’ll be true. But, I’m still pretty hype for this, lol.
Also, for anyone into comics, preview pages dropped for the upcoming prequel miniseries, which I think looks dope af. Glad Snyder & Titan Comics got an artist with a dynamic style on that thing.
Seeing some reviews out now and my worries have pretty much been confirmed that this is likely just a big hodgepodge of ideas Snyder wanted to do but with a cool paint job, so yeah basically just a standard Snyder movie lol
I dunno why anyone would expect anything but pure, unadulterated Snyder from this, lol. The only variation in reaction imo should be if it’s “very Snyder (derogatory)” or “very Snyder (affectionate)” to you, personally.
I would love to be able to use this excuse at work lol "You should see the Director's Cut of this spreadsheet!"
Idk, I know I sound borderline like a stan sometimes (in spite of caring about maybe half his films at most). But, I honestly think it’s cool he gets to do both the version of the movie he wants and the version to make the studios happy. Good for him, for gaming the system! I think it’s funny that he still has to do that for a Netflix film they refused to give a dang wide release… but hey, maybe they wanted the extra views of two versions or some shit.
Well damn guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention because I got home from work hoping to watch this to find out it doesn’t come out until 10 tonight
This was a giant mess and he stole from like 87 other movies but it was kinda fun. Ray Fisher was easily the worst actor in a movie full of terrible acting though.
