It may be better if I met them here as opposed to them joining later but then they'd have heard all my stories already and I'd be even more boring

Valentine’s Day is for K-6th graders and then it needs to stop. I will not be convinced otherwise so don’t try.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Given that I am currently a massive disaster on all platforms, I suspect I'll be doing a double header session of classes at the gym as my Valentine's day celebration.

It's not all bad though. Since one of those classes is Boxercise, I'll be spending the evening alternating between holding hands with a stranger and beating the fuck out of them, which actually sounds kind of good...

I could see a metaphor in there somewhere, but didn't much care for the suggestion that I beat women. :-|

@Mr. Serotonin would you stay with Sloane if everything was the same, but she staunchly believed the earth to be flat? This fact would not remain between just you two either. Pretty soon your whole family would know, and your friends too. And at family gatherings she’d proudly profess the truth about the nature of this earth and how are all bein lied to. But in every other way she was perfect

Damnit, I was having such a good day. Fuck. That's tough...the shape of the earth RARELY comes up into conversation. So part of me wants to say, sure, I could look past it because hopefully it would almost never come up. The other part of me really enjoys her intellect, which would take a SEVERE hit with this bullshit belief.

Anyway, I hope that answers your question :crylaugh:

Wasn't directed towards me, but I'd be more okay with that than someone who doesn't believe in global warming.

  19. also, preliminary findings:

Bios compared from KC dating pool to Denver dating pool:
about the same amount of religious women
about the same amount of single mothers
    more polygamous woman in Denver
more woman in open relationships in Denver
less "take me on an adventure" bios in Denver
less "fluent in sarcasm" bios in Denver

*these are not judgement statements, only observations

This is completely understandable and fair though. The flat earth thing, while totally idiotic, is not a partisan issue and doesn’t propagate any real negative behavior. So it’s a little harder to deal with, imo. Personally, I honestly don’t know if I could be with someone who believed the earth was flat. The willingness to completely disregard science and logic would be infuriating. But again, as Mr. S said, it’s something that would rarely come up

  21. I'd break up with them for sure if they thought the earth was flat or climate change wasn't real.
