So today I went to the bar where my friends tried to hook me up with the bartender last summer and then nothing ever happened and then eventually he had a gf. Now he doesn't apparently. He was our server today. But he told me to shh. Everyone was like he's flirting!!! But if you flirt by shhing me, I don't think so. Then afterwards I was kind of a bitch cause he laughed at his own joke that nobody else laughed at and I was like "Its nice that at least u laugh at ur own jokes" and he said how he thinks he's funny and I was like "at least someone does." And my friends were like omg what cute banter!! And I'm like wtf am I living in a parallel universe like I'm actually annoyed here tbh!!

I feel like he wasn't trying to be rude, but I gave him a pass when he called me argumentative a while back and now I am being shushed!!! Someone at the table was even like "oh shit" when he did it. I think he tries kinda hard sometimes and it doesn't always land and comes off awkward. I give leeway to awkwardness as a fellow Awkward but he toes a line sometimes idek how to explain it. I've only met him a few times and he's always fine but then something is ...off. I'm fine with giving a hard time but like u don't impress me by being a dick lol

I don't know how to deal with the whole age range thing anymore. I wonder if it would just be better to ask someone what their time proximity to a mortgage is.

I have my tinder set as low as 23, but I don't really know why. I don't think I'd actually want to date anyone that young, but then I met a 23 year old at a meetup last year who was both impressive and charming, so who knows. Being a baldy these days will probably help keep the younglings away.

 

I thought this too, but since I’ve been bald, I have had more women who are younger than I am by a decent margin approach me than I did when I had hair. Now, I’m not saying there is any sort of causality there, but being bald certainly isn’t the deterrent I thought it would be.

Generally, most of the people I’ve been with either sexually or romantically have been older than me. Age doesn’t necessarily mean maturity, but it does mean experience and that counts for a lot in a relationship. I look back on even my 23 year old self, which wasn’t that long ago, and it’s like I was a different person entirely.

I don't have a strict age range but I definitely am not into the idea of people my age (mid 20s) dating teenagers or early 20s.
My bf now is a year younger than me, and my long term boyfriend before that was same. honestly I like older guys but most of them actually have their shit together while I do not and if they don't have their shit together at that age it's like well wut r u doing (which I know is super judgmental of me hah I guess I just expect to get our shit together *together*)

 

My bf REALLY hates pictures so it’s hard to get a pic together. Makes me jealous of people who post pics of themselves with their SO bc I can’t really do that. Man. There is this beautiful Dutch bartender and we have spoken before but we talked again tonight and bonded over the fact that we’re Dutch. She is so cute. She said I’m handsome. Nothing will come of this.

Edit: she was telling me how there is a large Dutch population in Michigan and I told her how my great parents moved here from Michigan and she asked from where and I said “Grand Rapids” and she flipped out cause her Dutch friend is from there and we freaked out together. It was funny and nice
