it's just not a good idea. she's someone i need to interact with to even do my job, like an actual peer on my team, not someone in another department or on another floor. she deserves to not have me make that potentially awkward.

well, March is my anniversary. this is my second temp job, and i want it to be my last, but i also don't want to leave without at least a year to put on my resume. i'll stay here longer than that very likely as the right position is going to be hard to find, but i'm hellbent on using the experience i've gotten through contracting to land something permanent.

 

(When I'm single) I will theoretically date up to 10 years older (but again, that's theoretical, especially after the last time I did that - granted I was much younger then) but not much younger. When I was in my early twenties, you had to be old enough to buy your own liquor. In the second half of my twenties, you need to be able to rent your own car without paying through the nose for insurance.

The wildest thing about dating apps was always how many 18/19 year old dudes would shoot their shot anyway. Like, you sweet summer child - it's not happening.

 

I'm 24 and for some reason I decided on a two year gap being the most I could do.

Just random stuff that she would normally post in group chats i'm in with her, but chooses to text me directly instead. She also tried to convince me to go on a trip with them, but i'm going on a trip with the new girl instead.

 

Very interesting indeed. Well, it's cliche, but sometimes we really do just want what we can't have. It's possible she sees you're with someone now and is like, "ah shit, I dun goofd." Who knows
