My first gf was 22 and I was 19 I think. Second gf was 23 and I was 20. Third gf was 18 and I was 24. I look back on that last one and realize what a fool I was for thinking that would work out but you know what they say...

 

I'm 26, partner is 31. I feel like the age gaps matter less once everyone is past 24/25... any younger, the difference in life stage mentioned above can definitely be a thing. Obviously everyone's different, but... that's just my experience, both personally and through observation.

 

I’m 25, my girlfriend is 28. First time I’ve dated someone older than me. Previous girlfriends were only a year or two younger than me.

I also just wanna say that I was an incredibly mature 23 year old who briefly dated a 32 year old in the aftermath of me leaving my abusive partner.

At the time, I thought it meant I was just a grown up.

In retrospect, it was weird and he was a class A creep who probably couldn't get someone his age to date him because they were experienced enough to recognize a creep when they saw one.

Well, it's kind of a short story. One of my good friends who I've known since elementary school has been dating this really cool girl for a year or so. This girl is her roommate. She also works in the same building as me, but somehow I didn't know that...though she did. Before I even knew she was roommates with my friend's GF or the work thing though, I saw her at a bar and noticeably pointed at her and asked my friend next to me "Who is that" with my mouth opened, i'm pretty sure . Eventually we just happened to go to the beach with those mutual friends and I got to hang out with her a bit. Told her friend I was interested in her. She hit me up on our work IM and then I got her number. Bing, bang, boom.
