    it's not even the vulnerability for me so much.
    • money's tight. no one wants to be wooed by the cheap dude and i don't want to overextend myself to try and be cute and then wind up broke like i've done for, oh, the last 10 years of my life
    • for the first time in my iphone owning life, my phone is not receiving any texts that i feel immediately obligated to respond to in order to avoid conflict

    seriously, in my last relationship i got way too comfortable "helping out" financially. and by helping out i mean watching my partner blow every paycheck on frivolous bullshit and then complain they were broke even though they made way more money than me and we split the bills.
