So I'm sitting here on Tinder just absentmindedly swiping when something catches my eye in the worst way. Since when are 17 year olds allowed in Tinder? It wasn't even one of those "says she's 18 but in her profile she says that she's actually 17" kinda things. She was just full on 17

Think I'm done swiping for the day

Edit: My age filter is set for 20-30, I am just really confused why Tinder showed me a underage girl

Assuming you're referring to Dominick, did you read an entirely different post? His comments mentioned no standards, only that while he did care for his ex, but felt more incentive to follow through on other existing plans. If we're talking about the same posts, I don't think you know what a god complex is.

You have to be some level of a pretentious conceited shithead to literally tell someone "You don't meet my standards," like it's perfectly fine to not be interested but to go about the let down like that is sheer douchebaggery.

I had something similar happen with my ex once and I compromised by coming over and checking on her to make sure everything was good, but I did not stay over. Not much good can come from that imo. I guess it also depends on how long you've been separated and what your current relationship is. If you just recently broke up and aren't over each other, I wouldn't stay the night.

That's terrible. It's surprising to me how many girls on there say they're like 24 but really they're 18. Are they just after older guys or something? Either way, it's a little weird...

I've seen a lot of people say they used Facebook to connect to tinder and they set their age to 19 but they are like 17.

I'm like.... that's still pretty bad and a instant no.

Never used Tinder myself, this is a thing? Wow that's fucked. Why would they even allow that to avoid ANY sort of underage issue that is... concerning. Guess you can't stop someone who wants to lie, but to openly allow under 18 ppl? Err....

Even if they explicitly stated 18+ teenagers would still use it because they're teenagers and hate rules

Yeah, but I guess to them they're only replying once and it has nothing to do with them so it's one of those insensitive awful things where people dgaf about others feelings. Something super common in 2017 haha

I personally don't feel like i was anywhere beneath her but she made it seem that way. There was no reason to respond only to tell me I'm not good enough lol

I was trying to describe myself to someone

That's a remarkable way for someone to respond. Unless you've written a profile that is so offensively repugnant that she just had to put you down, I have absolutely no idea why anyone would feel any need to say that to someone. Even if you did, I don't why you'd respond to someone that way and not just point out why you talking to them was apparently offensive...

Well, it definitely has happened but it's rare. My profile definitely isn't offensive but I guess some people feel like it's polite? I'm honestly just trying to forget about it because there's not much I can do

many people lied about their age on MySpace. A friend of mine was 12 at the time, lied and told guys who were about 16 that she was 14. I also remember there being this creeper dude that would friend a lot of girls from surrounding high schools and talk to a lot of them. One friend told me to avoid him bc she met up with him and I guess he was creepy, then I had another friend who ignored the creepy I guess bc she felt like she was cool bc this senior "liked" her, a freshman at the time.

I was one of the MySpace liars, it was in 2003, I was in 8th grade. I was the new kid at school, and worked up the guts to ask this gorgeous girl to the homecoming dance over a message and she said yes. That was a massive turning point in my confidence so I will fondly remember MySpace forever lol

Idk if yours is the same, but mine keeps resetting itself to search all ages, no matter how many times I set it to the age range I want. Although, I have never had anyone younger than 18 show up while swiping.

also I don't know if I mentioned this before but I was listening to the Ryan seacrest radio show and he was like:

did you know if you do all your pictures in black and white on tinder, you have basically a better chance at getting a swipe. I was like ???

I think I'm giving up on crush guy. Just cause it doesn't seem probable idk. I only know where he works and its not somewhere I'm at often. I feel like I've looked for excuses to go there a bit and that makes me feel silly and it kinda is silly. I think the moment passed a while ago. I mean if it happens it happens but I'm not gonna go outta my way to go there cause its not a place I frequent and I don't wanna go just for him like that's weird af. I'm sure I'll see him soonish and if something comes out of it that's cool but I'm not gonna stress! Plus like I've only seen him in his work uniform and what if he has bad style. Or even worse what if he is one of those men who has no style and expects his gf/wife to buy his clothes omg my worst fear.

I'm not sure if this is the exact thread for this but..the other night out of boredom I added a bunch of people I know on FB. One of them was my ex from high school. (I'm 33 now.) He accepted my friend request but sent me a message that just said "Why?" I ended up just ignoring him because I wasn't even going to respond to a question so dumb. (He could of just ignored my request like a normal person.) It's not a big deal at all but it just kind of made me wonder if it was weird or inappropriate to ask him to be my fb friend. We didn't end on bad terms, had a lot of good times, and its been 16 years since we've dated! After I didn't respond, he blocked me. Is he the one who overreacted or am I the weirdo here?
