I presume this is a thing which just happens to people who are ridiculously photogenic or something.

I am currently feeling utterly burnt out from dating and relationships and suchlike. Things have been smoothed over with the Czech lady, but I am so utterly uninterested in pursuing people right now. I'm unsure whether that's because my year started with a good thing turning sour and nothing quite matching it since or whether I'm just too distracted with the process of buying my first place.

 

Maybe it depends where you live? I had no trouble getting matches. It's getting responses that's a challenge

 

It's been a little over a week since we last talked about everything. It's kind of really fucking me up a bit, but I've done a pretty good job of not showing it. I had to book a last minute session with my therapist because I was stressing so much. Basically he agreed that the best course of action is to mostly do nothing. I know that as soon as I start talking about all these complex feelings I have with her, it's just going to spill out in an avalanche of emotion and it's more than likely going to push her away as I give her more things to think about. The timing on this couldn't be any worse tbh.

Hahah, I wouldn't NOT date someone just for the reason that she has the same name as an ex. It just seems extremelyyyy coincidental.

 

It's a non-issue imo. I suppose it could be a constant reminded of your ex? Maybe? But I wouldn't care I don't think.

I mean I don't really have any unresolved feelings about my last relationship and we're still enough of friends, so I don't think it would be too big a deal to me tbh, but I never know what the other person might think.
