in other news I'm thinking about going to emo night here in town because it seems like a great way to socialize.

i thought the same thing. everyone goes with a group of friends and you start talking about brand new vs tbs and then you just end up hating everyone you meet there because no one loves brand new like you love brand new so you ask the DJ to play brand new and they play YFW and not Deja or TDAG and you go home and listen to brand new alone in your 1brm apt

I went to an emo night in Michigan with a group of friends

Instead of socializing and meeting new people like I planned on, I got pretty drunk, danced a ton with my friends, and started a pit when they played Linkin Park and Korn

They had like a nu-metal three song stretch for some reason and I was way too into it

my local venue does a 90s night, 2000's night and also emo night which all sound amazing tbh

 

I guess it's one of the quiet things that no one ever knows

It was definitely fun. There's another one coming up soon that I might go to and actually try and socialize at.
