My ex was the loudest sleeper but it was lowkey adorable. It wasn't that she snores, she just made a lot of noises.

Anyways, I know I need to give it a rest but wow, it really sucks to have feelings for someone who is in a relationship, I've never been in this situation before and I'm honestly just so glad I'm moving away so I can put it behind me. What's hard for me is that she opened up to me about her relationship a bit and was telling me how he (38) has never been in a monogamous relationship until now and he's been kind of pushing for them to be in a polyamorous relationship and she (28) is not for it at all. There's obviously nothing wrong with polyamory, but it is a core value for a relationship and if you disagree on something so fundamental then you probably won't last (is that just wishful thinking) imo, so I'm like internally screaming. Then, when we were saying our goodbyes, she was like, "Well, my boyfriend has to go to a wedding in L.A. in a couple weeks and he's not allowed to bring a +1 but maybe I could tag along and we could meet up and grab a drink?' Which sounds great but it's also like, what's the point I guess? From my end, I mean. The thought of just being her friend seems nearly impossible. I feel like a baby lol, I've obviously had crushes before but I've never actually had feelings for someone who was in a relationship. Hopefully when I move it'll just become a thing of the past.

 

Man, i don't think of myself as a super emotional person..but breakups take a fucking toll on me. I don't know if it happens to everyone, but i can't even manage to eat. It's the worst.

 

Sorry man. I think it's pretty natural. After my last breakup I was nauseated all the time. Breakups are change and change is stress. Hope you feel better soon.

Its weird. I've always been the dumper so that prob impacts it but I've never mourned like the person I'm breaking up with but more the change in life. Its weird to adjust. It sounds pathetic but when I broke up with my last srs ex I was more terrified of the change/knowing how to be independent more than being sad about him. But then the change was soooo much better so that's made it easier going forward, knowing that I'll still be okay regardless of whatever happens

 

At 23, I'd say it gets better but really you just feel old as hell while also having one of the best Jimmy Eat World songs to listen to.

I just turned 27, and I still feel 20. When you have kids time just flashes by.

 

Just a few weeks away from 30.

I've never at any point in my life been able to imagine myself in the future at any age. Could never picture myself driving ot graduating high school / college, couldn't image being 30 (still can't really), or 45 or 65. I remember as a kid being asked what I wanted to be when I grew up and having absolutely no answer to the question. Nothing came to mind and I couldn't see myself as anything. Still can't! And now here I am, weeks away from being an age I never could fathom becoming - just like all the rest - 30.
