I have never heard of a divorce party until tonight.

 

The ones I've been to were like any other party except they sign the papers in front of everyone, the cake said happy divorce, and they burned pictures although that's so extra imo.

 

Probs a bad idea but I decided to sign up for okc after about 4 years of not using dating sites. I wanted to answer some of the match questions and I use to remember being able to have it private view, but it doesnt look like theres that option anymore. Don't think I'll last long. There isn't many guys in my area that catch my interest. My best bet is eharmony, but who knows, they'll likely be no one my age on there.

I never get invited out and work all the time and there is no way for me to meet dudes.

I went to a concert with this girl I've been trying to talk to.

she spent most of the show staring at some guy she used to talk to but never got to meet.

This night was a big welp but the bands were cool.

My sisters wedding was yesterday and I ervy there solo and yeah struck out but got to see some people I haven't seen in years. Reason I prolly struck out was I was drunk as fuck at the reception and talked about my ex

Things are seemingly running quite smooth for me right now (just injecting a little positivity, as I rarely do). Got a second date booked in with this girl (open mic night on a boat) and while I was stuck on a train for five hours today, she spent three of them sending me riddles to solve.

I followed this up with going to the zoo with her for the day. The zoo was super fun to go to since I haven't been in a long time but I don't really see much chemistry there. She just seems like the friend I'll occasionally talk to and hang with when I'm in her area.

 

So I've hung out with a girl from tinder for a few weeks now. We went and got Thai ice cream for our first date, slammed a whole large veggie pizza for a second, and then hung out at her place and watched Dear White People for our third. She's super cool, laughs at my jokes, into social justice, etc. We're starting to make plans to hang out more often, but in relation to my earlier post I'm still keeping expectations low and not putting too much into it. But, things are going great with her so far and I'm hoping there's some potential there. But now I have an old fwb messaging me to come over the last several days and I'm just like get behind me Satan! blerg

 

One of my fears of dating in a small town is if a guy decides to be an ass and talk about me in great detail. It's a fear I've always had and it just happened to my bff. Dude bragged to my stepsister in detail about their hookup and ohhh man the gloves are coming on!!

 

I'm not likely to meet anyone in an organic way because I never talk to people. I go places and assume no one wants to be bothered

Ok she's not mad at me lol. She just didn't respond and I got second guessy! I might be more mad than she is idk. That loser was lucky she even deigned to talk to him let alone sleep with him smh. I don't know how I'm going to get a dating life tbh.

I've tried the dating apps and stuff like that and they've all been failures. The one time it worked and I went on a date, the person ghosted me and it sucked.

I'm also bad at just talking to people because I'm super self conscious and shy. I only really try to talk to the girls at my work but I've struck out three times so now I'm just like ehhhh. Dating sucks for me.

 

I feel like I'm even more reserved and cautious about dating now after my last relationship. It was two and a half years long and it was just awful for my mental health and I'm scared of falling into a situation like that again

 

I haven't had a serious bf in like 5 years. The last guy I sorta dated was like 3 years ago. I'm not a dating online kinda person. I guess I don't really actively seek out partners, but I don't see it ever happening organically because that requires me to leave the house and speak to other humans. My friends clearly hang with scrubs so the setting up thing hasn't ever worked well. I get my defenses up and I think I kinda act like an ass around guys. I get even more uptight and just shut them out and push them away immediately if they even try it. Then again it's rare anyone I'm interested in approaches me. But like why would anyone approach me when I'm giving off those kinda vibes lol.
