I wish a guy would bring me like cheesy fries on a first date. Legit ones not the ones with nacho cheese. It wouldn't count as the meal tho like we'd still need to go to eat but he'd just give me a bouquet of cheesy fries and I'd know it was meant to be.

Oh I get that. I've only been on tinder for about a year. Majority of that year I didnt have any success so I kept changing and changing. I just summed up what works for me. But I'm pretty sure I appreciated your profile. It definitely seemed genuine, and I had that at one time and no dice.

 

I googled bouquet of fries and things came up omg now I want it even more now that I see it can be done

 

because my city suuuuuuuuucks for housing enjoyable people, i tend to go on dates / have relationships with girls in nearby cities. this is fine, and if we set up a date in advance i have to time to google the city to find some things to do / eat at. but i've gone on a handful where we'll decide spur of the moment to get together and as soon as i ask about what places they like or where they'd like to go or something that interests them that maybe they haven't gone yet so it would be a new experience for both of us, they never fucking know. constantly, "ummm, doesn't matter to me." and nothing kills excitement faster.

yes it does, because if i take you to Burger King you'll never forget to tell your friends that story, so fucking pick a place or give a general idea of what you're hungry for or what you like. remember, I'M NOT FROM THAT CITY SO YOU KNOW MORE THAN ME ABOUT IT. *head meets brick wall*

lol this sounds like me. I get weird anxiety over having to decide things like that. I have this irrational fear of rejection or the person not liking where I pick. It's the worst when I go to eat with a friend who is the same way lmao

 

This is a wild thread to lurk. I literally have nothing to add to any discussion ever had in here, though.

 

When I was dating Rachel I'd ask where she wanted to go and she'd say "It doesn't matter, it's up to you" and right after that I'd say "Well how about ______?" And without fail the response was "Ehhhh not really..." Hahahahaha

 

Don't let that stop you lol. I haven't gone on a date in like a year and before that it was like four years lmao but I still find a way to butt into the conversation

 

For perspective, my last date was during the Bush presidency. I'm on quite an amazing streak of "no thanks" when I ask girls out.

 

Yeah I don't have a ton of success but I guess it's better to represent who you really are in your profile if you want good dates

Also I have a child, which I'm sure scares a lot of matches away, and I make sure to make that very clear so I don't have to worry about it on the date

 

One of my biggest pet peeves / personality traits to avoid is indecision haha. I wanna Andy Bernard a wall when someone doesn't help make a selection or even offer an idea. and even worse when they play the "i don't care / nope" card. doesn't matter if it's an SO, a date, a friend, a family member. unless you literally don't care that we're eating 2-day old tacos at 7-11, say SOMETHING.

 

I will join you in solitude. Dating requires leaving the house so I can't imagine I'll be on one any time soon lol.

 

I never have the ideas but I'm very agreeable. So I need to date someone very decisive

 

I'm cool with indecision as long as either
1. I get a bit of an idea from them that I can play off
Or 2. My idea doesn't get an instant veto haha

Haha. If I could get a job, after being unemployed/working retail for so long, I'll be out of the house so much. I'm so tired of being home. But until then, any idea when JtV season 2 hits Netflix? Ya boy flew through season one in three days.

I am extremely indecisive. Like if we're at a standstill I'll choose, but otherwise I prefer not to. People usually want me to choose cause I don't eat meat so I'm the one with the dietary restriction, but I can usually find something to eat anywhere so idc. I'm very agreeable and way too go with the flow. The best I can do is give someone like three options and have them choose between them haha.
