I could probably find some music in common with anyone, I think it's more dudes who just assume women only listen to pop music which is lame

The only similar taste I care about is similar taste in food. Don't care at all about stuff like music taste.

 

There was one time I met a woman at a doctor's office and we just so happened to strike up a conversation. She offered me her headphones and said that the music would change my life. And that's how I heard Meshuggah for the first time. Also, I never spoke to her again.

 

Can definitely agree with food being important. I've dated people in the past who had either complete opposite taste or super specific allergies or some weird health thing that eliminated a lot of food and ingredients which meant a variety of never eating out, one of us being unhappy with where we did go, and any meal prep taking forever to make sure it was made with safe ingredients.

Drove me mad. Something I couldn't contend with or deal with.

Yeah, finding someone that was into gaming would be really really cool. I've had to justify spending money on video games and having them called stupid before, so I'm glad I'm not in that relationship anymore.

Y'all are fucking whack if you care about food that much. Sorry. I've said my piece on it before but people can't help their tastes there, or their health issues or allergies. That's shit you're consuming that goes into your body. It's not like interests in games/movies/music/sports or whatever. Don't make people feel bad for that stuff.

My wife and I are complete opposites. I almost feel that if we had everything in common, it'd distract from the chemistry. She's a radio country fan with plain taste buds that stresses about everything and I'm the alternative music fan that loves spicy food that believes everything will work out. With 3 kids, our parenting styles are very different as well, but it all works like a big puzzle. Not to be corny, but true love will get usthrough anything and allows us not to fault each other for things we disagree on. If something as petty as musical taste is an issue, then every little thing you or your companion does wrong will be a big deal as well...imo.

 

I eat pork loin five days a week. If you can't accept that, we won't work out.

 

As far as tastes go, I just need someone who can watch movies with me and not complain about how dumb or boring or whatever they think the movie is. And food, I'll eat pretty much anything

 

Ugh. I know what I need to do to get over my ex but honestly, I don't want to get over her. I hate this feeling.

 

The have a date tomorrow and I'm going to approach it differently than I normally do. I'm pretty shy/quiet around new people but I'm gonna go balls to the wall with this one.
