I've always wanted to go to a cliche holiday party like in the movies but nowhere I've ever worked does one

 

My work has our work parties during work days and it's super clique-y here so nobody really talks to me.

 

My work party consists of a two hour lunch that is catered by Mission Barbecue. So, basically, its bullshit.

 

My work has ours today, they rented out a banquet hall at the local Red Lion, open bar, catered dinner. I've only been there for like 3 weeks though and my social anxiety is bugging out so I'm probably just gonna go see Rogue One.

 

Same, I feel like I'm missing out but in reality I'd hate it like I hate all parties

 

we are having a holiday pot luck tomorrow during work and that's our party.

I actually have to work during the time it's taking place so I'm like ehhhh.

 

We only get 2 adult beverage tickets which blows. It's catered and it's weird seeing everyone in normal clothes and not scrubs.

 

My holiday party is open bar (beer and wine only) so not an open bar.

 

Our work ordered in some of the best KC BBQ burnt ends on Tuesday for our holiday party and I am a very happy person because of it

I have two potential things going. One the girl seems(/ed?) way into me but she's not quite 22 and has some stuff going on so I have my doubts. The other is 23 but seems more mature and more likely to work out long term but we'll see.

KC Is actually my second favourite city that i've been to behind Denver.

 

This was my first one and it was exactly like something out of a movie. Capacity for the venue is 1,500 so definitely over a thousand people...with an open bar. You can imagine.

 

I can't fathom a place having 1000 employees let alone working at such a place

 

I worked at a place with 800+ employees once so I felt like a boss when I won employee of the month cause I'm so coooool. But they didn't have a cool office party for me to go to.

 

The best work Christmas party - or Christmas party in general - was when my entire department and many others went out. At dinner alone dozens got bushwhacked, with the head of sales trying to not look or act drunk as the Vice President of the company and another higher up showed up unexpectedly and sat next to her at dinner - with their families! Elementary school kids!

She failed this however when she ordered a large chocolate milk to go with her lobster dinner, then proceeded to knock the fucking 2 gallon glass of it all over the table, then left for a few minutes only to report back that a coworker was driver her home because she puked in the bushes out front.

Such a glorious night.

The best part was the restaurant made a copy of her license and no longer allows her to visit - just like Pam being banned from Chili's in The Office! And when I showed her this a few days later she did not think it was humorous.

For the next three years the department would chip in and get her a gift card for the restaurant as a Christmas gift or birthday gift, knowing full well she couldn't use it lol

 

Me and my iPod been together 9 years on Christmas. Been with my girl going on 6 in Feb, me & iRene still make her jelly.

I'll never let her go still she can't go anymore, lol.

 

Went to a bar and one of the waitresses was super cute and was wearing a Rush shirt so my friend decided to leave my phone number for her... and she texted me and seemed really awesome, but then dropped that she has a boyfriend. The world is a cruel place.
