update: we went out for drinks last night. when she got there one of her friends was having a crisis so I thought she was looking for an out with me, which any sane person would do. no hard feelings. it was sort of resolved shortly after and she was kind of flustered by it but got over it pretty quickly. we drank and started talking shit/flirting and laughing a lot. after a couple of hours she suggested we get some beer and go back to my house.

we get to my place and she immediately goes to my record collection and starts sifting through them. she questions why I still have a Ryan Adams album in there(!) and ultimately settles on Jimmy Eat World. Invented [she says it’s underrated](!!)

so we laid down in bed and listened to Invented and talked about a lot of stuff. at one point she laid her head on my chest and sang along to Littlething. folks, idk if I’ve ever been more smitten than I was in that very moment. it was easily one of the best first dates I’ve been on.

but I was kind of drunk and rambling and my accent was coming through extra thicc and she made fun of me for it (she’s originally from Boston/Chicago) so she has to go though
