Anyway tonight I went on a kind of date? There’s this guy I’ve been talking to from okcupid like...over a year now on and off. He moved to Miami so it’s been like flirty but in a way that feels removed like we know it’s not going anywhere. Well he was back in town for work this week so we met up for dinner and it was just...noo spark or chemistry lol ohh well

I also have a tentative date on Friday with someone else that, kinda same thing I’ve been on and off in touch with for like a year now. We’ll see! His family has a literal castle in Ireland so here’s hoping we get married

Edited to add : for whatever it’s worth I know everyone encourages you to ~get back out there~ But I’m deff the type that finds it pointless when I’m emotionally unavailable. These two dates are ideal because of the circumstances but I’m not actively trying to date.

 

I've been horribly infatuated with my friend's roommate for the past like 6 months to the point that I literally can't get interested in anyone else. We went on a date last summer and I thought it went amazing and she apparently did too but she then said she wasn't totally over her previous ex and didn't want to get serious with anyone yet. It's not even that I'm holding out hope that she'll ever show interest again -- I haven't even seen her in months and I've been using all the apps and shit -- it's more like after feeling that great about someone it's hard not to compare it to your interactions with others
