Damn so I intentionally didn’t message this girl yesterday didn’t hear from her nbd. Give her some space. Said something today we talked for I dunno maybe 20 minutes and she “left me on read” and I was just like whatever ya know she’s like visiting family I dunno do whatever you want haha. There for sure is a part of me that’s like “she stopped responding she HATES you” but like not thattt strong and idk I know it’s not something I “listen” to.

Anyway, maybe 45 minutes ago she texts me in all caps saying like I was with family and then I feel asleep I’m sorry hi how are you...like damn it’s chill!!! But obviously that is very nice to hear.

We have tentative plans to go to some vegan restaurant around the time she gets back, on the 7th...hope I have the car by then cause otherwise I am going to be paying out the butt on Uber’s and food? One of those things where it’s like is this a date? Cause if it’s not then like I don’t think I should spend all this money but I’m pretty sure it is a date so that’s not a real issue. I’m on my phone so don’t give me shit about grammar or whatever

My last planned date for awhile went very well. We went to a brewery and talked for 3.5 hours until they closed. She asked me what my longest relationship was and I mentioned my marriage, so that is out in the open (which is good). We then kinda got a little too into talking about LotR after we discovered a mutual love of the movies/books, to which she asked "How do you feel about being married a second time?"

She's the one, guys.

You can see I was thrown off by his first use of “wyd” as I thought that was reserved for 2am hook up texts not first messages to strangers in different states lol but no problem

First thought was : wow I love how quickly he retreated once he realized the thing he wanted was going to cost money
Second thought was: at least he was respectful about it and non aggressive
Third thought was: how sick it is that I was being thankful that a stranger was “nice” to me while soliciting for nudes. Like???

What really gets me is just the fact that it’s normalized to message someone you’ve had ONE brief conversation with and thinks its appropriate to approach the topic of nudes. Like, what??

I also feel like he was put off with the whole money thing and it’s like you objectified me from the start so don’t be surprised that I put a value on that object ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Update:
After giving it thought and finally being able to vocalize to someone else what I found wrong with the whole thing, I decided that nothing would change if this dude carried on like this. I didn’t want to put the burden on the mutual friend so I messaged him this novel.
