I've got my last date tomorrow night for the foreseeable future. I deleted all the apps (again) but I had matched with this girl on Bumble and didn't want to just disappear on her so we set something up before I peaced out. That was the week before Thanksgiving lol. We picked a time the following week, but she got sick. Then I went out of town. Then her finals started. And tomorrow we're finally going out after a month. Longest I've waited to meet someone from an app but we didn't talk at all in the meantime so there's plenty of suspense.

 

Idk if I'd say I ever feel lonely. I'm so often single that it feels more of a default to the point where a relationship sounds overwhelming. If I ever date again it's def gonna be a huge adjustment to my life. I'm so used to doing everything solo. I haven't dated as like a "real adult" with a career and stuff so that would be interesting. Like dating in college was fine cause you could hang between classes or before a work shift but now I work all day and am exhausted and wanna die and sleep when I get home!

 

since this is very fresh on my mind.....not well. i feel like she was moving way too fast and rushing to check off a bunch of boxes and it was all just too intense and overwhelming. i don’t really care to feel like i’m being put on a pedestal bc it creates a weird dynamic and also i’m 100% not worth being put on one lol

 

anyways back to square one ayyyyyy

just keep in mind that it’s not a race to hit a bunch of milestones and be mindful of personal space and boundaries.

I think if you’re uncomfortable with it it’s a self esteem issue lol like you don’t think you’re worthy of that, that doesn’t mean it’s not right to put your partner on a pedastal.

Definitely agree with you, but in my situation it’s just because it’s so early into talking, we haven’t even met at all. And like I feel she is/will fall for me quickly. I don’t know, new territory for me I guess I’ve always been the one with less experience

My sister is hooking up with her roommate who has expressed his love for her twice and she has rebuffed him and “just wants to be friends”. Fucking college. Not confusing for him at all. She like does not understand what she’s doing to him.

This guy also had a Title IX complaint filed against him by their school for flipping his shit at another one of their female roommates during a drunk fight. His stepdad came to the school after and said “Who do I have to pay to make this go away?” Private school rich kids from California, except for my small town Midwestern sister.

 

For the first time in seven years, I left a date feeling like I was jumping into something that has potential to be great, without any bullshit. It feels fucking amazing.
