I don't have a lot of romantic experience and my last serious partner did and he was super weird about it like paranoid I'd want to get it out of my system but I am a boring old lady and am truly fine just like.... See, I prefer to be single / alone during the holidays. I hate family get together and shit like that and a significant other / date only leads to more of those bad things.

For a few years I would purposefully end the dating / relationship like a week before Thanksgiving and start them up again after the New Year or Valentine’s Day to avoid all that.
