The people I work with are unhinged my managers are the worst offenders we had a grand opening party and my bosses were gone and we just had a Christmas party just at work from like 2-4 in the afternoon and they were taking tequila shots and I was like nope I ain’t trying to get into that especially at work.

You know, I've gone on enough Tinder/Bumble/Hinge/OkCupid dates by now to realize that I don't think I'm going to meet someone that way. I've met a few people that I thought I wanted to be that person, but something always comes up. I've had people get bored of me even before the first date, people meet someone else more exciting than me after the first date, never talk to people again after the first date, etc. I've seen it all. So many dead ends, brick walls, and flakes. But at a certain point I have to wonder if I'm just a boring person or some kinda placeholder until something better comes along.

One thing is for sure, all of these online dates have made me so much more confident when it comes to talking to girls IRL lol. When there's so much less pressure. When it's organic. When you think a girl is cute and you're not sitting across the table from them essentially interviewing them for a long-term position. I think my odds are better when it isn't planned. The definition of insanity, and all that.

 

So...my thing went really good? As soon as I got there I called an Uber and when we went to Target to get food, it was maybe a lil awkward for a second, I thought maybe I wouldn't talk too much until we got to Target but I saw it was like a 20 minute drive so I started talking and I'd say from that point on there wasn't much silence at all. She made spaghetti and we talked about a bunch of different stuff while we ate then we watched a bunch of different stuff on YouTube on her tiny ass laptop. I didn't really want to leave when I did I just still had to make a pit stop and didn't want to get stranded, better safe than sorry. We hung out from like 6-11. I think there may be a chance that this is/ends up being platonic but also that for sure is not a fact in any sort of way, I think that may be more of a me thing/my perspective than reality, I dunno. One of those things where like I wouldn't know how to go about "going for it" so I'mma need her to give me some sort of sign but I will figure it out.

I had a really good time and I'm pretty certain she did too. I thought she was going to be gone for a month but it's only 2 weeks which is both a blessing and a curse, I dunno if all this car stuff will be ready by then cause I know she really wants me to take to her this Vegan restaurant in the city but if I don't have it together by then we can just Uber. I'm really happy it went so well!!!!

EDIT: Just to be clear I'd totally be fine if this were platonic I truly could use more friends rn but like I think I have to go for gold so to speak, whatever that entails.

 

So...has anyone talked to someone/dated someone with a lot less experience than yourself like relationships? How did it go?

 

My girlfriend has way less experience than me in every aspect of dating but we click perfectly fine. If anything I don’t think that matters much

 

I think it can lead to uneven power dynamics but not always.
