Yeah it’s a possibility. Thing is, my girlfriend lived in Florida for years so it can’t just be a “go to fest and come home,” it’d be a two week type thing.

Lol same here. I'm Super boring and awkward and quiet. Takes me like three months of knowing someone to not be like that. And even then I'm still boring lol.

 

i stopped doing that because the extra delivery fee + tip was preventing me from staying within my budget while also ensuring I was purchasing enough food for meals. Now I go on Sunday afternoons while people are watching sports and it's pretty dead and I just put my headphones in and it takes < 30 minutes

Fuck I wish it was like that here on Sundays. It’s swamped every Saturday and Sunday at the grocery store and it sucks. So we go a couple times a week during the week, usually after 7 pm.

 

I usually try and go during the week around like 9 PM so there's like nobody in the store

Have you eaten at Next Door? Tried it for the first time the other day and it's pretty good, a little pricey though

 

we do a compromise between delivery and standard and do “to go” ordering. we order online, they do all the shopping and then put it in the car for us when we pull up to the store. i wind up saving money even with the convenience fee because i’m not tempted by all the other stuff i walk by and want to eat gross amounts of.

the kids are all really good at it too, nice and affable and accurate. probably the best gig in the store, tuning out and shopping for people rather than dealing with couponers at checkout or doing lotto tickets at the service desk or whatever

 

I order groceries from Randalls(same thing as safeway/albertsons) but I still end up at HEB every 3 days for something.

 

Yup! I went there when @ChaseTx was visiting and it's real good and right next to the king soopers I go to for groceries haha.

Four Friends kitchen is also nearby and is reaaaally good but there's always a long wait so make a reservation on yelp for saturday or sunday brunch and get their beermosa (station 26 cream ale used) or bourbon lemonade and portobello grits

 

Yep. I used to do this. Now my grocery shopping is less geared towards an entire week and more towards the next 2-3 days, particularly around the holidays.
