Well the buffet is like 5.99 and drinks are another like $2 plus tax and stuff
The groupon was $12 for 2 buffets and 2 drinks which it claimed was a $18 value but idk.
I just figured $6 flat per person was a good buffet dinner price so I snagged it

 

Also we get coupons in the mail that are BOGO buffet with the purchase of 2 drinks so I figured the group was better than the coup ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Sorry for the long post, I just feel like I need to spill this somewhere and I guess here is the best place I can think of. I just recently got out of a 5.5 year relationship and I feel so damn lost and alone. I used to live with my girlfriend and after she moved out we tried to make things work for a few months and nothing changed so it ended but now she lives in a house with all our friends which is also the place where we all usually would hang out so now I've lost the person I cared about most and I can barely see my friends because she lives with them.

And then I doubt my friends because its been almost two months and I would hope that they would try and take me out and cheer me up but for the most part Ive had to reach out to them and make plans and when I do it really feels like I'm bothering them or like they don't have time for me. I haven't seen friends on the weekend since before the break up. I messaged my one good friend yesterday and he said he was just hanging at the house all day (where my ex lives) so I asked if he wanted to hang, but said I couldn't handle being there so I asked him to hang at my place and he just never answered again.

Idk, I've pretty much accepted that things are over between me and my ex, I'm just feeling the most alone I've ever felt in my life and I'm not sure what to do with myself anymore.

 

My boyfriend is arriving in Melbourne tomorrow night :’)

Really sorry to hear that, @PatRFinley . Also sorry that your friends are being super shitty. I don’t know if there’s really a universal answer for this scenario. 5 and a half years is a long time, especially at your age. I mean, if you are 23 as your profile says, then that’s a huge chunk of time that your identity has been tied to this relationship. It’s no wonder you’re feeling lost.

What’s your current schedule like? Working? Going to school? Would probably be a good time to start hitting the gym if you don’t already, or possibly pick up a hobby that peaks your interest. Although, I totally understand that your motivation to do anything right now is probably next to none.

The worst part imo is that your friends live with her. When my long term relationship ended, my sister and my ex were still living together and it was fucking brutal for me.

Go to a food festival, take him on a cruise, do some shopping and exploring, and there’s a cool free music exhibit we’re both interested in! he’ll be spending Christmas with my family (of course), plus just hanging out a lot

 

I found out last night from my mom that my sister / brother in law are going to ask me to be The Godfather to their daughter at Christmas and it’s fucking blowing my mind.

We’ve always gotten along but never been close. Even if we were, their decision to choose me out of everyone they know would be baffling (to me, single 30 year old who loves peace and quiet and clean things) so my mind is unraveling at how cool, unique and important all that is. Just crazy.

I had to lie down when I was told.

(My mom wanted to tell me first so I didn’t freak out. Seeing as I laid on the floor mumbling “holy shit...!” For an hour I’d say she made the right call)
