because your gatekeeping mindset that apparently anyone less than a renowned master of a field could have something worthwhile to contribute on a topic is absurd

it also takes effort to become a good public speaker, to be a good listener, to lay out a show, to research a topic, to find guests who can add to the topic, etc. not every podcast is a dude in his boxers farting Cheeto dust into a microphone. that’s pretty much only dan. i don’t care that you don’t like podcasts i care that you claim to not care, then clearly care, then paint in the broadest strokes you can to put down how others express themselves

i clearly said the cringeworthy aspect was assuming the intentions of others and that there is a “worthiness” threshold. you threw out “white male selfie stick” or whatever which ironically swept under the rug the podcasts that center around things LBGTQ+ living or mental health or being an oppressed minority or any number of things that are very non “white dude” but i get it, buzz words are fun

a lot of white dudes have podcasts, probably the majority of podcasts, but that also goes for bands singers rappers tv show movies radio and everything in between because the world is bad so time to not like anything i guess

The great thing about podcasts though is that there’s no system designed to keep you from partaking. You don’t need to be cast, or audition. You can just do it. No permission needed.

why the fuck would I want to listen to anyone who is am amateur or hobbiest or nobody talk about something they're not an expert in? I just don't get that. I don't care what some random fuck has to say on their podcast they started in their basement. There's no value there to me and I really don't care.

I literally said I don't care about podcasts and y'all jumped on my case. I had no problem leaving it alone, but this another aspect about podcasts that are annoying. No one can not like a podcast otherwise they're not listening to the right ones or they haven't given them a shot or whatever. I have. I don't like them. I find the medium dumb and useless. I have no interest in it at all. It provides no value to me. I don't wanna hear about it, I don't wanna talk to anyone about them. I made a passing comment like I do for everything else that is just a dumb bit and once again y'all just keep at it with me and I have nothing better to do and I like pushing y'alls buttons so I'll just say more and more dismissive things about them because y'all just keep coming back and it annoys me almost as much podcasts themselves do.
