The sex thread on AP was so weird. I remember when I said it wasn't cute to be the mister/mistress I got a bunch of people going "why??? What's wrong with that?! I'm not doing anything wrong!" And I just backed away slowly lol

I never went into the babe thread cause the title was creepy in itself but I remember when ppl would occasionally make like hottest babe polls. Typical AP that all the beautiful woc were always voted out first and the winners were always the quirky white girls. That site...

It was just bizarre cause like I totally get that ppl do things they regret or when they're young or sometimes its even complex but ppl in there would brag about it and be like "idgaf about their bf/gf" like that's cool to do and it was super weird.

 

Am I misremembering or did someone make a hot guys thread and a bunch of babe thread regulars went into it and started complaining about it and wrecking the thread?

 

The most ridiculous thread I've ever seen was in PL asking everyone to rank the female posters on AP. Now THAT was fucking weird.

 

I mean, I get it. It is how I used to be back in the day. It is just rooted in this hyper-masculinist syndrome of "being an asshole and not caring about others is cool" thing that manifests in your 20's. But, in actuality, you're just being a dickhead. There's nothing cool about it.

 

i tried for most of my tenure as staff to get that shut down

 

yeah I'm surprised that thread got as many iterations as it did, especially towards the end there

 

my ex, who i am best friends with still to this day, was involved in a cheating thing a while after we broke up. she slept with her friend (repeatedly) who had a girlfriend and then started fake-dating him after they broke up and didnt understand why i was like "you are kind of being shitty to this other girl"

Yeah, I never understood why it wasn't shut down. I recall reporting it, and nothing ever coming of it. I figured the moderators wanted the sexism and misogyny in a centralized place, but it never works out that way.

 

If I remember correctly people straight up said that they didn't find other races attractive
