Bad joke aside, my in-laws do/did and now they're going through a nasty divorce because he started seeing one of the girls privately on the side. It's a shit show disaster. Would not recommend.

Also know a couple who were happily married for 10 years then they started an open marriage for the last 10 and now have brought in both of their new spouses to live in their new, giant house and have never been happier. So, it can also be a net positive.

 

That concept is so strange to me, glad it worked for them though.

It’s not something I could do but I’ve never seen a more trusting and open and loving set of couples. And their children are exposed to a ton of open minded philosophies on love and trust that I think would be beneficial to everyone to experience.

 

No they have an entire polyamorous community that have retreats and nearly all the couples have been together 10+ years. Like, it’s odd because it’s not the norm but it’s not a rare occurance. It’s amazing to witness.

I didn't know until the divorce. The whole thing is wild, I used to be part of this running/drinking club with them. The club meets every Sunday, I'd go once or twice a month, have a good time hanging out with everyone, no big deal. Once I found out about the divorce, I also found out these people I've been hanging out with, some of them were also swingers, and I had no idea. I did the club for like 3 years too. It was all very sexual, I've seen more dicks and boobs then I'd like to have seen, but never got the vibe that they were swingers.
