Friday was awful tbh. We got home mid afternoon and turned the water back on now that things thawed out a bit. I thought everything was going well for about 20 minutes until I went into the kitchen and noticed water all over the floor and coming down the wall. Went and immediately turned the water to the house off. Started seeing the ceiling in my kitchen bulging and dripping water. After about 20 minutes 1/2 of my kitchen ceiling fell down all over the floor and I could clearly see a busted pipe. Got 2 calls in to plumbers and made appointments...for March 1 or 23rd. All my parents were calling asking how things looked and what's going on and after thinking we would be without water for weeks if not close to a month, my stepdad and mother offered to come down and help repair it in hopes that it'll give us water back until a plumber can come out. They traveled 4 hours yesterday and we got the pipe fixed. Worked on sheetrock today and got a mostly functioning kitchen thankfully. Incredibly thankful that they came on such short notice and were more than willing to help us out. All that on top of my wife's birthday was yesterday!
holy shit. I'm so sorry that happened to y'all. but that's amazing that they were kind enough to help y'all at least get it workable for the time being. this is all just so awful and I hope it gets better soon. I don't even know what to say anymore tbh. just sad and frustrated by all of it. love you, my dude. stay safe
It's all good, the worst of all this is behind us, just glad we are all safe and sound! Really really appreciate you checking up on us!
