today has been wonderful. hope it's been the same for all of you

 

My nephew. He's so cute without even realizing. I was at his house and asked if they had a deck of cards. He so confidently and sincerely was like "yep! Uno or Pokemon?" And every time I think about it I chuckle and smile.

My wife and I took a trip to the Bay Area for a few days and it was such a wonderful time. Explored SF, Oakland and Berkeley. Took in so many beautiful sights. Ate delicious food. Drank fantastic coffee. Checked out many cool shops and parks. I am officially in love with the area.

I can’t stop thinking about how great my visit was. I cannot wait to visit again. I wanna live up there so badly now…

 

wrote a poem today that I consider one of my very best. it has a positive bent to it as well, which I'm always happy about, as much of my work is downright depressing.

I brought rosca de reyes bread to work and most of my team did it together and it was super fun so I'll probably make it a tradition at work! And my boss got the baby so now she has to bring in tamales for us so win win

 

I'm high for the first time in weeks

 

When I put my dog's harness on to go for a walk and he automatically lifts his little leg so I can put it on.

 

The feeling of finally donating a bunch of stuff I've been meaning to get to. And not to loser goodwill. Feels like I've lost like 50lb of weight off my shoulders!

Made vegetarian wedding soup and it turned out incredible! Nothing better than a bowl of soup when it’s cold outside.

My neighbor came over and helped me shovel my driveway. It took like an hour to do 1/4 last night by myself but he was just shoveling like it was nothing so it took like 30 minutes to do the rest. I’m def baking him some cookies bc he saved me and my back lol

My grandma would've loved seeing a Spanish language Superbowl halftime performance and I can just imagine what her reaction would have been when Ricky martin popped up because he was her all time favorite. It made the bad bunny performance feel that much more impactful for me especially cause it's like a week before the anniversary of her passing and I just know she would've been floored
