Seeing Oasis live. The show was last night but I can’t stop thinking about it

 

I found out today that my youngest nephew tells everyone I’m his “happy friend.” Like how cute is that???? He came running over to my car when I got there and said “oh I missed you so much!!” He also insisted on carrying my bag for me bc it was “too heavy” and he didn’t want me to get hurt lol He’s so sweet!

Trail hikes/bird watching has been my thing lately but I switched it up and did kayaking today. This is what saved me & my ex-wife's relationship the first time during the pandemic so it was weird going alone for once. It was honestly incredible. I saw, like, six herons on the lake along with a bunch of cormorants (which I didn't know live here) and got a beautiful shot of a red-tailed hawk that I'm going to use for a future tattoo. We separated about a year ago but I moved out in late-June. I'm at that part of post-separation/break-up where it's like "hey, people actually don't hate you so just own it and do cool shit for yourself."

so tonight I ordered dinner from the local spot I've come to love of late. they know I usually order the party melt so when I ordered a French dip instead they must've thought instinctively that I just said patty melt. when I got my food I noticed it immediately tho and they were very apologetic and immediately put in an order for a French dip. not only that, they let me keep both and didn't even charge me for the French dip. just got done eating a good majority of it all and I am stuffed beyond belief. talk about customer service. they earned my undying love and appreciation with that gesture

 

Have you ever tried ras malai from the Indian store. It’s so good

 

I have not but just looked it up and it looks delicious. Will definitely grab some next time I go.

Having a girls’ night tonight with a couple friends. Going to a haunted house and then out to eat. I’m so excited (:

 

Taking one of my nephews to the drive in tonight. They’re having a triple feature of Casper, Corpse Bride and Beetlejuice. Then he’s staying the night and the next day I’m taking him and his little brother to a hayride, corn maze and petting zoo and we’re gonna pick apples! We’re gonna have the best time!!

 

Checking out a band and really digging them after not giving them a chance in the past.

It always makes me smile that there are these gym bros who seem like good friends and they tailgate with Gatorade and post workout drinks in the parking lot some nights after they workout and it's so wholesome

Lately I've been putting concealer and powder over my lips before my lipstick and it takes like 30 seconds and has really leveled up my red lip game. My lipstick has always lasted a decent amount but now it's like permanent marker.

 

Had a pizza party at my brother’s last night and can’t remember the last time I had so much fun. My dad and favorite aunt came over and we were all crying bc we were laughing so hard. Reminded me of when I was little before my dad and brother went off the deep end politically (they didn’t even bring up politics for once!!!) If only everyone could act like that all the time!

God idk what it is, but I am feeling immensely overjoyed about the holidays this year. I usually get really stoked about Thanksgiving and Christmas once November rolls around, but it just feels so stronger than usual rn.

Ran errands yesterday and got so excited seeing all the holiday stuff going up.

I bought some holiday candles from Bath & Body Works and legitimately got emotional once I smelled them.

Idk man, I just have a good feeling it’s gonna be a great season this year
